Responsible Digital Citizens

This week we have talked about the ways in which the internet can be used in both positive and negative ways.  We took a look at an Ottawa area group called Small Gestures Change Lives (SGCL) who decided to do just that. They decided on a few small gestures that could make a huge difference a difference in someone elses life. Here are a few of the videos that we looked at.

Today, we took what we learned and created individual pledges on how to be a "Responsible Digital Citizen."  We can't wait to share them with you!

Have a safe and wonderful weekend! :)

Samaritans on the Digital Road

As I'm sure you read in the newsletter that was sent home last week, we will be covering "Samaritans on a Digital Road" throughout the week.  Each lesson ties the Religion Curriculum to the responsible use of technology, helping students become discerning digital (online) citizens.  We watched two videos in class today that sparked a lot of very interesting, and thoughtful talk.  Ask your child to summarize the videos to you and then watch them together to see how one little act of kindness can go a long way!
